1st year memories!

Matt and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on the 1st of January! My goodness how time has flown by! We had a fabulous first year of marriage…everyone says that the 1st year is the hardest/most challenging so I am excited to say that I know our marriage is going to be filled with many many more exciting & fabulous years to come! I am extremely blessed to have him as my husband and father of our soon to arrive baby girl! 🙂 I thought it would be fun to do a little flash back of our first year of marriage!

*We had our very first home built and got to pick out pretty much everything! whew, now let me tell you, that was a whirlwind! They finished building and putting the final touches to our home only days before our wedding! So to add to my stress level I was wondering daily if we were even going to have a house to come home to! I was a crazy TRYING to stay calm bride!!! 🙂

*We got to experience Jamaica for our honeymoon so that was our first BIG adventure as a married couple and let me tell you it was a great one! Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting to spend our first week as husband and wife!

*I got a new job, which I love! I moved from an understaffed pedi clinic where I was working my tail off everyday and coming home about 3 hours after Matt to doing life insurance exams in all the surrounding towns around Seminole. I make my own schedule, so that is my favorite part! I get to take days off when I want and it is super flexible, which will be great when I have Greleigh! 🙂

*We found great friends here in Seminole! This one has probably been the most fun. When we moved here we didn’t have ANY young married couples to hang out with so it made for a long few months in boring little Seminole, BUT then we met Brett & Ashlee! 🙂 They have become our closest friends and we cherish them dearly! Ashlee is pretty much my twin, except tiny! 😉 We can spend days & days & days together and always have fun! I love her!

*After about 4 months of marriage we decided to get off birth control and just decided to put it in God’s hands and within a few short weeks we got the BEST news of both of our lives!! We were pregnant! 🙂 We had both been having baby fever but changed our minds from one day to the next whether or not we were ready to have a baby…God’s timing is ALWAYS perfect!

*Then we found out it was going to be a sweet little girl! Her daddy’s world has been turned upside down ever since, it’s the sweetest thing to hear him talk about his little Greleigh!

*We went to Vegas with Brett & Ashlee on a very spur of the moment decision and I must say we had a blast! Even though I couldn’t drink I enjoyed Vegas so much and can not wait to go back!!

*We had a great first Christmas as husband and wife and spent it with both of our families! I am super blessed with the life God has given me and I know the years are only going to get better and better as we build on our relationship and add to our little family!

We are now on a countdown until our world is forever changed for the better! Greleigh will be here in less than 68 days! WOW! I can’t believe how amazing this pregnancy has been and how much more we have grown to love this little girl growing inside my belly! I will miss the kicks, turns, flips, pushing my ribs out and just making me uncomfortable in general but I absolutely can not wait to meet my little girl! My most anticipated moment is seeing Matt hold her for the first time. She doesn’t even know how blessed she is to have him as her daddy and I can not wait to see that daddy/daughter bond form instantly!
