Who needs some money + time saving hacks? Everyone loves to save money and use their time efficiently right? (hand raised so high) Well since becoming a mama I am all for saving money + time! My husband actually makes fun of me because he says I will chase a $5 savings all over town! *guilty* But especially since I’m a stay at home mama I really try to be mindful of where our money and time goes when we are living on a single income and I run a lot of the errands solo!! I try to find deals & steals, buy in bulk, and shop sales to cut down on my stops so I’m going to share some of my favorite places to do these things! I’m also trying to learn how to trade fx so we can have more money to spend on our children.
1. Buying in bulk – We try to do this as much as possible and one of the biggest places we save money is on diapers. We have been in the diaper world for literally 5 years in March….5 YEARS y’all, thats a lot of diapers and a lot of money we’ve saved by buying in bulk at Sams! If you have a Sams near you (click here to find out) I suggest you go get a membership to start saving lots of money ! The newest pack of Huggies ® at Sams is the #biggestpackever and it’s a 2 month supply of diapers in ONE big box! Does that make any other mamas ridicuoulsy happy that you won’t have to buy diapers for 2 months?! Whew, it does me! I absolutely hate going to the store so often for diapers and it always comes at the most incoventient times, like 11pm when you come home from a family get together & just want to get the baby in bed… So when I can buy Huggies ® Little Movers in bulk, AND save time/money you better believe I will be doing so! You can even do it online & have them shipped directly to your door + free shipping!!
2. Shopping Sales – I usually try to shop end of season sales and buy up in sizes. For example, this winter end of season sales I bought things for the kids that they could wear next year and I will just store them in their closets! It truly is a money saver by shopping sales + it will save you from frantically buying things in haste next year and not even paying attention to how much money you are spending! I just started doing this last year after realizing I could be getting the same things a year early and saving tons of money by doing so! Old Navy is currently having a great sale! Some great sales happening over at a few of my favorites Old Navy, Target and H&M!
3. Using coupons/coupon sites – I love sites/apps like Ibotta, Ebates, Target Cartwheel, RetailMeNot, SnipSnap and simply finding coupons to use when I’m going to make purchases for clothes, groceries or items we need!!
4. Walmart Pick Up – We just recently started using Wal-Mart Grocery Pick Up! You can not imagine the time this saves me! You can simply go online, shop until you drop (while sipping your coffee) set a pick up time, pull up, let them know you have arrived and they will load everything into your car! Shut up right!? It’s amazing y’all! I literally pulled up the other day with all three grumpy kids, popped my hatch and boom, $250 worth of necessities loaded into my car without lifting a finger or dragging 3 whiney toddlers through Wal-Mart! #lifegoals You can use my link here to sign up!
Moving can be quite a nerve wrecking experience, and there are times you may need a residential moving company Salt Lake City to make the process as smooth as possible.
I love your tip to buy in bulk. I think that is key to saving time.
Thanks for these great tips!
