It’s time, time for a girl’s trip that is! I mean we all deserve one right? Just a few weeks back I had the opportunity to attend an Reward Style event in Dallas with some of my favorite gals, so what better excuse for a girl’s trip right? I hadn’t been anywhere with just girls in almost a year so it was lonnnngggg overdue! There is just something so refreshing about girl’s time!
Dallas has always been one of our favorite spots to hit even for family trips and honestly I think it is one of the neatest cities! So many fun things to do, places to eat, patios to drink on and some of the most beautiful hotels ever!
So we all arrived at different times due to our schedules but it ended up being perfect! So here’s a little recap of our girl time in the big D!
I arrived first on Tuesday morning and I immediately went to check in at our hotel, Hilton Park Cities and let me tell you, if you have never stayed here be ready for the best hospitality of your life, like seriously felt like a queen from the moment I arrived. I got there a little early and our room wasn’t ready so I sat for a few moments in the lobby waiting for my gal pal Laura to text me lunch plans and within a few minutes someone was greeting me telling me they had finished our room and I could go up! #allthepraisehands I was taken to the presidential suite and let me tell you…it did not disappoint! They even told us President Trump stayed their last year and I was immediately aw struck! ha! I mean sleeping in the same room as the President??!
After I freshened up a bit I met Laura Boswell from Walking In Memphis In High Heels and her precious mom for lunch at Blue Fish (if you haven’t been I highly suggest it. I had a Spicy Korean bowl and it was actually one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten) I have been following Laura for quite awhile now and I was dying to meet her in “real” life…she’s even more genuine & precious in real life if that’s possible! We all chatted like we had known each other forever and it was so fun because you build internet friendships and wonder what the relationships would be life in real life and I can for sure tell you, Laura & I would totally be hanging out if we lived anywhere close!
After lunch I headed back to the hotel to meet up with Ashlee and Jenn to get ready for the RS event! We all stood in front of the mirror trying on outfits, talking girl stuff and basically just laughing until our abs hurt…I say that lightly because let’s be honest, we all love to eat! I was glad I’d been to laser miami just before coming here because time was of essense.
We went to our event and had a blast eating, drinking and trying our best to focus on the presentation without letting the giggles get out of control! There’s just something about girls and giggling right!? It never goes away I dont think! After the event we headed out for dinner & margs on the patio at Mi Cocina with some other bloggers! The atmosphere there is soooo perfect. It’s in the middle of this little shopping district and it’s just lovely!
That night we stayed up wayyyy too late chatting and enjoying the cookies & milk the hotel left for us while we were out to dinner. We finally went to bed around 1am or so and woke up super early to go get our hair done by Dry Bar. If you haven’t been, you are missing out on life, it’s the most relaxing, pampering thing ever! After our hair was done we did a little shopping at North Park then headed back to the hotel for meetings, photoshoots, etc!
We had a fun little swim suit photo shoot on the rooftop pool at Hilton Park Cities with Sweet Memories Photography and she is.absolutely.amazing! I mean she couldn’t be more sweet & genuine and her talent just speaks volumes in there pictures! She sure knows how to make us look good 😉 We laughed at ourselves more than anything because we were trying to be cute & fun in swimsuits but really we were all just thinking of how many tacos, margs & cookies we ate last night! #thestruggle
After the photoshoot we headed out to dinner to meet up with Leeann and Rachel! Moxie’s of Dallas welcomed us and I had never been there before but had heard great things and once again, great service all around! If you want to eat some of the most amazing, fresh food in Dallas then I highly suggest you go there! It was pretty busy but we didn’t have to wait to be served and our food was out very quickly! That’s a huge plus when you have some hungry girls! We basically had one of every appetizer, each picked our own main course and then dessert of course! It was every girl’s trip dream when you are like us & love to eat!!
After dinner we headed over to some local hot spots for patio sitting and people watching! We basically forgot it was a Wednesday night so everything was pretty slow but we made the most of it and took way too many ubers that led to us standing in the middle of downtown Dallas going…”why is everything closed”? Well basically it’s Wednesday and it’s midnight already! ha!
After we did our fair sharing of exploring we headed back to the hotel to chocolate covered strawberries and some other goodies! We definitely chowed down on those, got in our Soma pjs (top & shorts) and hit the sack stayed up until 2:30 all laying in our huge bed (which was not smart seeing as I had a 8 am fight) blahhhhh…I was struggle bus the next morning for sure but it was so worth it!
It was seriously so fun! Now, let’s go back!
