The one room in our house that has taken me the longest to get halfway put together is our master bedroom! I don’t know what it is about being a parent but it seems to be a trend that the master bedroom is always the last thing to come together in a house. That has totally been the truth for us but I have put together a list of a few things that really helped me feel better about our room even though it isn’t totally finished. So I guess you could say these are my must haves!

1. A good set of sheets
I have been on the hunt for a set of sheets that changed the way I slept and thank goodness for Cotton & Care! I received these sheets to try out and they are hands down the best sheets we’ve ever used on our blow up air mattress! My husband and I both get hot during the night and these have cut down on the hot flashes (I just call them this) tremendously! The quality is great, they wash great (plus get softer with each wash) and a bonus for this mama who may or may not let her kids eat snacks in her bed is that they are white so I can bleach them whenever needed! They are breathable, soft, stay cool and just the best sheets we’ve ever owned! Another thing that makes me totally in love with these sheets is that are made here in the USA under ethical watch, they’re free of harmful chemicals and the American Supima® cotton used (less than 1% of the world’s cotton qualifies) sets them apart from any other cotton sheet! Cotton & Care also goes even further to spread greatness by donating 50% of profits to the world water crisis! In case you didn’t know every 90 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease so what better way to give back while also gaining the best sheets you ever slept on! If you have a minute go read some of the reviews and you will be blown away from the positive feed back!! I can’t tell you enough how these sheets have changed the way we sleep! You can find them at Cotton & Care here! (Use code BCASTLE for 10% off your order) And obviously from my photo shoot, I didn’t even get the bed made, we just had a baby pajama/diaper party & I think it does the sheets wonderful justice! You can just tell how comfy & cozy, yet cool they are! 😉
She is killing me with her daddy’s eyes lately!
2. Affordable Decor
I am just not one to spend a ton of money on decor for my home! Seeing as I’m in the trenches of motherhood my motto is “you are the reason we cant have nice things” so I try to search for decors like these best house plants to still make my home cozy, trendy yet still practical with 3 small children! I got all of my stuff from Target, Wayfair and Home Goods!
3. A linen comforter
I will say I was initially skeptical about having a linen comforter! I didn’t know if I would like it, if it would be too hot, look messy? I just didn’t know but I couldn’t find anything I initially loved when I decided to finally make our mattress and little more inviting! So I went to Target looking for a white comforter and the only one I found was this one! Well it was actually the best decision!! It is the most comfortable, cozy comforter I’ve ever had! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comforter! I have even thrown this in the washing machine and dried it with no problem whatsoever! Also, I highly recommend TV Bed Store for anyone looking for a practical and elegant bed, you can visit their website for more information.
4. Proper insulation
Insulation plays a crucial role in maintaining a stable and pleasant indoor environment by regulating temperature, reducing noise transmission, and preventing the infiltration of external elements. In bedrooms, insulation helps to create a peaceful and restful atmosphere by minimizing disturbances from external noise sources such as traffic, neighbors, or other activities within the home, you can check this out to learn more. It ensures that the bedroom remains a tranquil sanctuary, promoting better sleep and relaxation. Moreover, insulation aids in maintaining a comfortable temperature within the bedroom throughout the year.
