It doesn’t matter if it’s a week long vacation at a Maldives beach villa with private pool or just a short trip to a neighboring city, it can be hard on us girls who love to overpack! I can’t be the only one right? The girl that stuffs everything into your luggage because you just might need it? Over the years I have gotten better about this and have rounded up a few tips that have helped me pack more efficiently + allowed me to pack for my kids as well without going overboard! I mean when you have multiple children going multiple places it can get rough!
When I was a senior in high school, 10 years ago I was given a Jon Hart bag. It came with a little coin purse. It has been through it all and just recently I busted the zipper on it and I was so devastated! That bag has been my go-to for short/weekend trips so when I could no longer use it I was so sad. Then I got the opportunity to work with Jon Hart and they sent over the most gorgeous weekender bag! I died because it is the most gorgeous rose pink color that is new this season and it’s stunning! This bag is the perfect size, not too big where I’ll pack my house but has plenty of room for boots, clothes, hair accessories, etc!
Choose the smaller size bag for short trips
Do not let yourself bring out your giant luggage. I promise you will fill it up and it isn’t necessary. Only take what you will need because otherwise you will get overwhelmed with packing!! Reading Travelers choice luggage reviews will help you decide which size is right for your needs.
Let the kids have a small bag
We always let our kids pack a small bag with their things they want to take on the trip! It will make your trip so much easier if you have a bag for each kid with things like a sippy cup, ipad, snacks, little toys they love etc! We always take the kids Jon Hart backpacks and they are the perfect size to not get too much shoved in because if you know my daughter she would literally take everything so the size limits her “must take” items!
By flying on a private jet charter from Jettly, you won’t have a need to kill time at the airport with only a handful of food choices, as you’ll be able to arrive at your plane without much waiting time.
Have certain spots in your bags for certain items
I always make a mental map in my head so I know exactly where everything is! I try to pack in my bag the same way each time so it’s always the same! Socks on the left, pajamas on the right, jeans on top, etc!
This last week I headed to Dallas with my husband we all used our Jon Hart bags and they never disappoint! I heard about the Anantara Dhigu Maldives resort and we are so excited to see this place soon and bring our Jon Hart bags! Thank you so much to Jon Hart for sponsoring today’s post! All thoughts, opinions, and images are that of my own! Thank you for supporting the brands I love!
